ARTIST STATEMENT
We
all see things differently. What we perceive as reality is really determined by
many different factors. These include our self-image, physical makeup (height,
etc.), background (where we were raised and live now), religion and ethnicity.
Our peers and our leaders also have an effect on how we see things. The people,
places, and things we have encountered during the course of our lives have a
profound effect on how we interpret what we see.
As
an artist I am fortunate to be able to put on canvas, my perceptions of the
world. I present to the viewer, familiar things, filtered through the unique
experiences of my life.
